Throughout history, the Catholic Church has not always been the most involved with the Internet and media. As time and media have progressed, the Church has become more engaged in the internet. Now media is used everyday in the Church and help people of the congregation to express and strengthen their spirituality. Members of the Church can now study the Bible without physically owning the book. Being able to use media to access digital religion opens a whole new world or worship and sermons to people that are unable to attend church services in person. Along with the new access to digital religion, there needs to be people who produce what is digitally available. To create these platforms, there are now digital innovators or content producers known as religious digital creatives or RDCs. These digital innovators have a unique status and influence within their religious communities (Campbell, 2019).
